women and mothers balanceI have personally walked this path, and when my children were toddlers, I was a classic overachieving, anxiety-ridden Mom. On the outside I was holding it together, but on the inside, I was overwhelmed, and often critical with myself and others. Sure, I was technically in the best shape of my life, (I completed 5 marathons in 4 years), but due to the stress, my physical health and mental clarity were challenged, not to mention my Spirit was slowly dying. I had been practicing a very physical type of yoga, along with the running, but knew something needed to change. During this time, I discovered transcendental meditation and added this practice to my daily routine. Daily meditation, along with yoga, was the beginning of my healing path and as I learned more about these ancient teachings I went even deeper into my own self-discovery and learned that I had some areas to heal in my life. Even though I knew I had a long journey ahead of me, I finally had inspiration and hope to finding peace of mind, clarity and purpose in my life.

I wanted to be my highest self so that I could be the best Mom, sister and friend that I knew I could be in order to live my life fully. I realized that I needed to get out of my head, let go of the stress and be present for my kids and loved ones. I began to understand that I needed to stop going along with the crazy demands that society pushes on us as women and instead, “slow down” and live more authentically. As I passionately explored the concepts of yoga and meditation, I discovered a whole new world of information in regard to holistic healing and spiritual empowerment. I noticed that I was becoming more connected to my True Self and felt more centered, with a sense of calmness and compassion for myself and others. I felt lighter and clearer regarding my path in life. I knew that I had something to offer to the world, bigger and brighter than I had ever realized. I was now facing my fears, letting go of my judging thoughts, embracing my gifts and feeling liberated!

During my challenging life situations I learned to move through them with acceptance and see them as opportunities to learn and expand instead of allowing feelings of victimhood. Even though my journey of personal growth and expansion continues, I have definitely improved my ability to be more present with my loved ones and more tapped in with the situations around me. Now I listen to MY OWN INNER WISDOM before I listen to the outside world for guidance. I’m living more in harmony with the universe and have reconnected with my bliss, (our natural state of happiness and abundance!). I have reconnected with my True Self and owe this transformation to the teachings of yoga, meditation and many other powerful holistic methods I have practiced over the years.

If you are a self starter and just need a bit of guidance, I offer my “Awaken to Your Brilliance” 4 week program. I will provide you the same top quality coaching and guidance in this shorter, “jump start” plan.
